Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly II Bright Cherry FG
Very good used condition - some minor wear along the upper. A few scratches on sole plate. Sock liner has peeled. Overall still very good condition with no major damage.
The Upper:
- The Superfly series featured a lightweight Teijin synthetic upper mixed with Flywire
- The Flywire was Nike's lightest and most durable material used at the time
- Overall, the Superfly II had a slightly higher toe box than the original superfly, and a new upper design
The Sole Plate:
- The Superfly series stayed consistent with a full carbon fiber sole plate
- The Superfly II introduced the "sense stud", a rounded stud that would adjust based on pressure for maximum traction
Notes and Comments:
- This was the original launch colorway of the Superfly II, as worn by CR7 as well
- The Superfly II had the staggering retail price of $400usd at its release, making them one of the most expensive retail boots ever
