The Upper:

• Nike continued with the dynamic sock collar on the Superfly V
• The upper featured a similar Flyknit upper, super lightweight and durable
• The Superfly V featured a series of grooves for a more textured upper, allowing a very secure fit
• This is a super limited remake that was only available on Nike ID for a few weeks, commemorating the 2002 chrome/lime mercurial R9

The Sole Plate:

• A major change from the previous model, Nike stopped using a carbon fiber bottom
• Nike introduced a lightweight plastic design with triangular studs for maximum traction

Notes and Comments:

• A one off design exclusively available for only a few weeks on NikeID commemorating the 2002 Mercurial Vapor I chrome lime as worn by R9 
• The Superfly V had a very sock like fit, with the upper feeling like a closely knit sock
• The sole plate Nike switched to wasn't as aesthetically pleasing, but it turned out to be very durable and just as lightweight
