New without box - Made in Bosnia - without original insoles
The Upper:
The upper was still a variation of the Teijin synthetic material, but it had a different coating applied to it
This is the Made in Bosnia edition, the upper is much thinner and more flexible compared to the normal retail editions. Its super soft and super high quality
Overall, it made the colorway have more of a polished, leather/suede type look, instead of the vibrant and shiny Mercurial uppers we have been used to seeing
This colorway was one of the only Vapor VIII not to feature the ACC element, Nike rolled that out shortly after this colorway was produced
This was the first colorway to feature the ACC technology, which slightly modified the Vapor VIII model, adding a clear, reinforced strip near the toe box and sole plate for added reinforcement
The Sole Plate:
This is the SG Pro variant, using a combination of plastic studs and 6 screw in SG Aluminum studs
Nike continued with the glass fiber sole plate, that was very thin and flexible. A major advantage to these speed boots
Notes and Comments:
The Vapor VIII was the first Mercurial in half a dozen years to not feature a Superfly one, and really, there was no need for a Superfly
The color way was so subtle and effective, no need for the flashy and shiny uppers
In terms of comfort, the upper was so flexible and smooth, a major upgrade compared to the previous stiff Superfly model
This is the Euro 2012 colorway part of the Clash Pack
