The Upper:

• Continuing on from the previous few models, Adidas stayed with a silky smooth K Leather upper, and also added a synthetic line for the first time with the Absolute.  This pair features the K Leather upper
• The iconic fold over tongue with the elastic was continued as well.  A slight change from the Predator Pulse, but very similar
• Adidas changed the swerve element, adding 3 larger grooves instead of 6 smaller ones featured on the pulse
• Adidas also introduced the interchangeable insoles with the PowerPulse element, and a lighter weight option as well
  

The Sole Plate:

• Continuing with the two piece sole plate, Adidas didn't change much from the Pulse
• A see through spot for the PowerPulse was added where you could physically see the Power Pulse insoles

Notes and Opinions:

• Often a bit overlooked, the Absolute had probably the softest K Leather upper.  Yes, K Leather was used on various other models, but in the absolute it just feels buttery soft, more so than the other models
• If these were the boots of your childhood, then you remember everyone having a pair of these at some point
• Tons of legends including Becks, Ballack, Gerrard, Van der Saar and many more had them as well
