The Sole Plate:

• A major change from the previous model, Nike stopped using a carbon fiber bottom
• Nike introduced a lightweight plastic design with triangular studs for maximum traction

Notes and Comments:

• The Superfly V had a very sock like fit, with the upper feeling like a closely knit sock
• The sole plate Nike switched to wasn't as aesthetically pleasing, but it turned out to be very durable and just as lightweight
