Adidas used a taurus calf leather upper, which was similar to the previous Predator model
The newly updated upper on the Adipower was much lighter and sleeker in design
A new stitching pattern was introduced which created 4 padded ribbed designs near the toe box
The new rubber element continued with a rubber "shield" like design for maximum swerve
The new rubber element was much lighter than the previous model and featured a series of smaller hexagons and several grooves throughout
The Sole Plate:
Adidas made major strides ,getting rid of the clunky Pred X solepate and added a super sleek and lightweight bladed sole plate design
The new "Powerspine" sole plate was made of a super lightweight plastic
The sole plate was very similar to the Adizero, but featured bladed studs and a the "spine" near the middle for reinforcement
Notes and Comments:
The Adipower had some much needed improvements from the previous Pred X
A million times lighter, way less clunky, and overall just much more functional
The upper is very soft, and while its not K leather, it provides the same sort of fit and cushiony feel to it
As for the sole plate, its definitely not a traditional Pred sole plate, but it for sure has to go down as one of the best in terms of performance
Is the plate as cool as a Mania or Pulse design? No. But it performs way better its not even close. Don't believe me? scroll to the last pic. RVP said see ya later to the Adizero plate and had the Adipower plate added.
