Adidas Predator X TRX FG Electricity *Defect* - Read More

New without box - with defect:

Size 8US/7.5UK:  Refer to Picture 5 - slight heel peeling (picture 6 does not apply)

Size 9US/8.5UK:  Refer to Picture 6 - slight scrape on soleplate, pen marks (picture 5 does not apply)

The Upper:

  • Released in 2010, the Predator X followed one of the most famous Predator lines, the Powerswerve.  This was the first Predator model not to feature the iconic Predator Tongue
  • The upper featured a taurus leather upper, instead of a Kangaroo Leather upper like the previous lines.  It wasn't as soft, but super durable and strong
  • The new rubber Predator element featured a dimpled softer plastic like material that looks like little suction cups to help with curve and power

The Sole Plate:

  • A 1-piece, hard plastic sole plate was used, that was slightly different than the previous 2-piece Powerswerve soleplate
  • The PowerSpine technology ensures for a very durable soleplate
  • The stud configuration wasn't all that much different, featuring a similar bladed pattern to the previous model and very similar to the Adipure
  • A large heel cup was used, as was used in the past Powerswerve model, but it appeared to be quite bulky and large.  Nonetheless, it provided great comfort and solved any issues with heel slipping

Notes and Comments:

  • While Adidas faced a bit of back lash from this model, these boots were definitely built to last
  • No expense was spared on padding, comfort, and durability
  • The Predator X isn't the lightest of designs, but it does provide an overall structurally sound boot  that never had any durability issues
  • Many great colorways were produced in this model as well.  Becks featured an all red version for a while, the classic Black/Sun colorway was used in the WC, and this electricity colorway was modeled after the 98 LE Accelerator.

*  Please see the defects as stated above ^ Boots are still structurally sound and 100% playable
