The Upper:

• A major change from the previous model, the Vapor IX featured a gold ball like pattern throughout the upper
• The upper material was still a Teijin synthetic, similar to what was used on the last few models
• The golf ball like pattern was designed to help improve the grip of the ball, and still remained very lightweight

The Sole Plate:

• The Vapor IX used a glass fiber sole plate, continuing from the previous model
• The glass fiber not only looked sleek and sexy, but was extremely lightweight and flexible, a big fan favorite in terms of comfortability
• The Vapor IX only used two studs on the back, making them even lighter than some previous Mercurial models

Notes and Comments:

• The golf ball like pattern gave for a very unique design, and was very comfortable on the Vapor IX
• The Vapor IX was known for their colorways darkening from the front to back, it gave a bit of a Vapor III vibe to it, but slightly different
• Made in Italy tags
