 The Upper:

• A blend of Flyknit and a synthetic upper with a dynamic sock collar
• The Superfly IV was also part of the first silo to feature the dynamic sock collar
  
• This is the iconic 2014 World Cup Hyper Punch colorway

The Sole Plate:

• The Superfly IV was the first Mercurial since the SF3 produced a few year before to feature a carbon fiber sole plate again
• After a brief hiatus, using a glass fiber design, the popular carbon fiber design was brought back

• Nike launched the Hyper Punch and Volt pack, one of the brightest packs that could be seen clearly on the pitch in each World Cup match
