Nike Mercurial Vapor III Italy World Cup 2006

Nike Mercurial Vapor III Italy Edition - Created to celebrate the 2006 World Cup Champs.

One of the most exciting and rare football boots ever created, limited to 1000 pairs worldwide.  Let's take a look at some of the unique features on this iconic Nike Mercurial Vapor III design.

To celebrate Italy's 4th World Cup win in 2006, Nike released an entire pack of golden boots for the champs. The Nike Mercurial Vapor III, Nike Tiempo Legend, and Nike Air Zoom Total 90 Supremacy were all released to celebrate their championship.  The tongue has a unique design that was only featured on this edition. On the tongue, there was an Italy flag facing out, and the 4 stars on the opposite side.  If we take a look at the other models, the Air Zoom Total 90, and the Tiempo Air Legend, they both feature this iconic look.

Back in 2006 these were rumored to have been limited to only 1000 pairs made worldwide, but that number can't exactly be confirmed.  It seemed like these classic boots were in a number of older football boots shops, and available from many retailers.  Even if it was produced in higher quantities, it was still a limited run, with not many of these unique boots left around today!

The golden upper was very shiny and had an almost reflective like tint to it.  As you can see, the upper looks super shiny in some parts depending where the light hits it.  It was a super classy choice, but Nike also added some unique customization on these super rare Vapor 3 Italy.
