The Upper:
- The original Magista was a brand new silo introduced by Nike for only a few short years, and it was their first ever "sock" boots, featuring the dynamic sock collar
- This is the iconic launch colorway that was released for the world cup in 2014
- The flyknit provided tons of stability and support with a honeycomb like knit throughout the upper
The Sole Plate:
- The Magista effectively replaced the CTR silo, and the soleplate had some similarities to the Maestri III
- A diagonal spine was added near the midfoot for extra support and stability
- The stud design used a circular design, very similar to the Tiempo Legend from this time
Notes and Comments:
- The Magista Obra was very popular from the get go, becoming a fan favorite, even with that giant sock collar
- The sock collar did provide a super secure and locked in fit, but was only used for a few years
