The Upper:
- The Adidas Ace 16.1 featured a new 3D synthetic skin upper
- The upper featured triangular pattern throughout the entire boot
- Overall, the upper was a lightweight design, but it also had plenty of extra padding for added comfort
The Sole Plate:
- Adidas used a sprintframe soleplate, with a circular stud shape
- the sole plate featured dozens of smaller circular studs to help with traction especially on AG surfaces
- The previous Adidas models used a triangular stud shape, so this was a major change from the previous models
Notes and Comments:
- Sported by David Beckham after the collapse of the Predator, the Ace did have some similar qualities to the Predator
- It didn't quite have the same strike zone, but it did have a Predator esque heel cup and was a boot built for striking and comfort, not necessarily speed
