Nike Mercurial Vapor III Zinc Tart R9 FG
New with box - impeccable perfect condition
The Upper:
- EVERYONE remembers the Vapor 3 circa 2006/2007, the coolest and nicest boots on the market, and today, still one of the nicest boots ever
- The Vapor III used a full Teijin synthetic material throughout the upper, a newly introduced synthetic by Nike
- The Teijin material was the lightest, sleekest, and shiniest material at the time with the Vapor III sporting primarily 2 tone colorways with some of the nicest colors ever
- This is a signature R9 edition with the R9 logo on the tongue
The Sole Plate:
- Nike switched from a one piece plastic sole plate to a newly constructed directly injected bladed stud configuration
- Using less materials with a super durable and lightweight plastic configuration made these boots the lightest Mercurial at the time
- Nike also started to use carbon fiber on the heel cup for extra stability and reinforcement
Notes and Comments:
- The coolest boots at the time, and perhaps the coolest boots ever. Sleeker, sexier, lighter, and overall just way nicer than anything ever made
- And if you did have a pair way back, then you remember, that heel cup and those blisters were a nightmare! But after the first few wears, the boots were incredible
- Nike would go on to make over a dozen absolutely beautiful Vapor III colorways, including some exclusive R9 editions
- With a lineup full of studs rocking the Vapor III, including R9, Thierry Henry, CR7, Drogba and many more, this was one of the most exciting Mercurial launches ever
