Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly II Cactus Green SG
New without box - peeling along the sock liner, see last pic
The Upper:
- The Superfly series featured a lightweight Teijin synthetic upper mixed with Flywire cables running along the outsides and insides of the boots, creating a durable and lightweight design
- The Flywire was Nike's lightest and most durable material used at the time
- Overall, the Superfly II had a slightly higher toe box than the original superfly, and a new upper design
The Sole Plate:
- The Superfly series stayed consistent with a full carbon fiber sole plate, the lightest and best sole plate designed by Nike at the time
- This is the SG variant, using 6 screw in aluminum studs, best suited for grass pitches
Notes and Comments:
- The Superfly II continued with many of the same materials as the OG superfly I, but with a new cosmetic design
- The toe box was slightly higher, allowing for a less compact fit on the boots
- Famously worn by tons of legends including CR7, Marcelo, Drogba, Arshavin, and many more
