Nike Mercurial Vapor I USA Women's World Cup 2003 FG

The Upper:
- A one piece lightweight Teijin synthetic material was used similar to the original Mercurial Vapor, Nike referred to it as the NikeSkin
- The sock liner used a super lightweight cushion around the heel cup for a licked down fit and added comfort
- This new synthetic replaced the former KNG-100 synthetic, for an even lighter design
- This women's version used a slightly different line design along the outsides, using dozens of crossing white lines for a more intricate design
The Sole Plate:
- Nike continued with a plastic heel cup in the back, to help keep a snug fit and to prevent heel slipping
- The FG sole plate continued with a one piece plastic design with a curved spine through the forefoot for optimal stud pressure

- This is the first ever women's Mercurial Vapor, specially made for the 2003 Women's World Cup
- The insoles feature the USA soccer emblem and the boots are made in a USA colorway
