Nike Phantom GX Academy Black White FG

The Upper:
- The Phantom GX Academy model was based off the top end Phantom GX Elite, a very short lived series by Nike
- The upper on the Academy model was rather nice, using a knitted material along the sock collar and throughout most of the boot
- The NikeSkin layer was used above the knitted material, a lightweight synthetic coating that added a nice textured strike zone, and some stability along the strike zone
The Sole Plate:
- This turf version used dozens of smaller siagonal grooves for maximum traction on artificial turf pitches
Notes and Comments:
- Overall, the upper is rather nice on these, giving a more premium feel with the knitted material, even for the Academy model
- The main difference is the sole plate being slightly thicker than the top model, but overall the boots are rather nice to the touch
