The Upper:
- A newly designed lightweight upper material called the "Vaporposite" was used, which was a thin coating that wrapped the boots, providing a textured upper for added texture and control
- Under the Vaporposite, the boots used a flyknit upper to provide a flexible and lightweight fit
- An upper that was proved to be a favorite amongst pros including bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Martin Odegaard, the perfect blend of speed and comfort
- This is the Superfly model, using a DF sock collar
- Boots are made in Bosnia, upper is very high quality
The Sole Plate:
- The Superfly 9 famously used the Air Zoom technology, providing an enhanced sole plate
- A one piece, incredibly lightweight sole plate was used with the Air Zoom tech throughout the sole plate providing a responsive and explosive sole plate
- This was the SG pro AntiClog sole plate, using a combination of aluminum tipped studs and plastic studs for maximum traction on grass and wet surfaces
- The aluminum studs are non removable
Notes and Comments:
- Sort of a unique design throughout the upper that highlighted some of the materials and tech used on the boots
- The upper was overall very nice, providing a very secure and locked in fit with the flyknit material, and the vaporposite providing a nice textured area while keeping the boots super lightweight
