The Upper:
- A major change from the previous model, the Vapor IX featured a golf ball like pattern throughout the upper
- The upper material was still a Teijin synthetic, similar to what was used on the last few models
- The golf ball like pattern was designed to help improve the grip of the ball, and still remained very lightweight
The Sole Plate:
- The Vapor IX used a glass fiber sole plate, continuing from the previous model
- The glass fiber not only looked sleek and sexy, but was extremely lightweight and flexible, a big fan favorite in terms of comfortability
- This is the AG version, a lesser seen and known option, the sole plate used a series of smaller, connected, circular studs for maximum traction on turf and artificial grass pitches
Notes and Comments:
- The golf ball like pattern gave for a very unique design, and was very comfortable on the Vapor IX
- The Vapor IX was known for their colorways darkening from the front to back, it gave a bit of a Vapor III vibe to it
- A very rare colorway and sole plate, not often seen in the AG variants, making these a great option for turf and artificial pitches
