- The Superfly IV used a single piece of flyknit throughout the upper and a newly design NikeSkin over the flyknit for one of the lightest superfly designs ever
- The Superfly IV also featured the DF sock collar, the first of the Nike models to do so, using a Flyknit sock collar for a secure and locked in fit
- This is a Limited Edition Ronaldo R9 1998 inspired design, an option that was exclusively available on Nike for NikeID during the 2014 World Cup, a very rare and exclusive colorway
The Sole Plate:
- A staple of the Superfly models, the Superfly IV used a full carbon fiber sole plate
- A combination of rounded rectangular studs and chevron studs were used for maximum traction

- The upper was revolutionary and unlike any other boot at the time, using the full flyknit upper and the incredibly lightweight NikeSkin
