- The upper was very lightweight but not overly thin, offering the perfect amount of texture and flexibility throughout
- Some iconic colorways in the Vapor X design, many using a 2 color scheme design, a staple of some of the most iconic Mercurials
The Sole Plate:
- Nike made the switch from a glass fiber sole plate to a compressed nylon material
- This material allowed for a bit more flexibility throughout, even though it was more of a simplistic look
