The Upper:
- The Luna II model used a very similar upper to the look of the Phantom Luna boots, using a partial Nike Skin upper near the forefoot, just like in the top model version
- The upper also used a partial synthetic material throughout, and a DF sock collar that was made of a knitted like material for added comfort and a secure fit
The Sole Plate:
- The soleplate on the Academy model featured the same stud configuration as the elite model, using a series of diagonal studs
- The Luna sole plate featured the "Cyclone 360" design, using a stud configuration in a circular pattern for maximum support and traction while turning
Notes and Comments:
- Overall, the upper is quite nice on these, not too stiff and rather flexible for all shapes of feet
- The sock collar is very similar to that of the top model as well
