The Upper:
- Back in 2008/2009 Reebok had some of the most premium leather boots, a full K leather upper was used on these
- The boots were very Predator-esque, featuring the Reebok "Power unit", for increased striking power
- They even featured a stunning fold over tongue with an elastic band, almost identical in shape and size to the Predator Absolute
- If you look at the strike zone area, a thin plastic like coating was used in the strike element, providing extra curve and power, similar to the concept of the Powerswerve
The Sole Plate:
- Reebok used a one piece plastic material for the sole plate, the SG variant used aluminum tipped screw in studs
- The sole plate also used a carbon fiber insert near the top, for their "Power Unit", a similar concept to the weighted insert of the Predator Powerswerve
Notes and Comments:
- These Reebok boots are definitely forgotten about by most, I myself haven't seen these in years
- But the upper is incredibly soft and much better quality than boots made today
- They are slightly thicker and padded, but these boots were made for power and maximum striking ability
- As worn by Iker Casillas, and Reebok boots from the late 2000's were worn by Thierry Henry, Ryan Giggs, and many more!
