The Upper:

The Adidas Ace 16.2 featured a new 3D synthetic skin upper, that was nearly identical in texture and shape to the top model 16.1 boot
The upper featured triangular pattern throughout the entire boot
The upper was rather lighteight and the 16.2 model was slightly thinner than the top model, providing a bit more flexibility

The Sole Plate:

Adidas used a sprintframe soleplate, with a circular stud shape
The previous Adidas models used a triangular stud shape, so this was a major change from the previous models

Notes and Comments:

The 16.2 was pretty lightweight with a flexible sole plate design that is very popular
The upper tired a new 3D upper that provided dozens of grooves in the pattern
