Adidas Predator Rapier 1995 Original SG
New with box - upper has some yellowing around the rubber vamps from storage
The Upper:
- I don't think anyone can forget the uppers of some of the first Preds ever made! This is the second generation of the Predator, produced in 1995, and the very first Predator to have a fold over tongue
- The creation of the rubber vamps changed the boot game forever, featuring a scaled rubber design throughout the boots
- The leather featured a scaled alligator like design throughout the boots
The Sole Plate:
- Back in 1995, the sole plates were quite a bit different than what we see today, a hard plastic material with ripples was used
- This is the SG variant, using 6 screw in aluminum tipped studs
Notes and Comments:
- The original Rapiers took the world by storm with Craig Johnston and Adidas crafting the Predator line
- A truly iconic piece of boot history that you don't often see in such perfectly preserved condition
- This is the Rapier design, that came in a blue box, not the black and red box. No tags, as these boots did not have tags for some reason, but they are still factory laced and in perfect condition
- These are recommended for collecting. They are brand new, but these boots are very fragile and most likely not very durable.
