The Upper:
- The X 16 model used a techfit upper, a newly designed synthetic material with a thin rubber lining used throughout for added texture
- The X 16 model was also one of the very first models by Adidas to introduce the dynamic sock collar
- The sock liner was raised to support the ankle and to provide a more secure and locked in fit
- This is the 16.1 Court version, the highest end Indoor version produced, using a nearly identical upper to the top model X 16.1 boots
The Sole Plate:
- The sole plate used a one piece rubber non marking sole plate with dozens of circular suction like grooves throughout for maximum traction on indoor surfaces
- These are best suited for futsal and indoor play on hard surfaces
Notes and Comments:
- The dynamic collar on the 16.1 definitely helped with a super secure fit
- A super high end indoor boot, using very high quality materials throughout the upper and in the sole palte
- Overall, the upper is slightly thicker than the Adizero's, meaning they aren't as lightweight, but the grooves do add a nice texture for striking and touch
