The Upper:
- The upper material was still a Teijin synthetic, similar to what was used on the last few models
- The pattern on the CR7 edition Vapor IX models used a smoother and more flexible material, compared to the golf ball like pattern used on the normal Vapor IX
- This is a signature CR7 edition as worn while at Real Madrid
The Sole Plate:
- Nike continued from the previous model using only 2 studs in the back, a feature that was only used on the Vapor VIII and Vapor IX models
- The same glass fiber material and patten was used from the previous model as well
- The stud layout was nearly identical to the Vapor VIII, just a few cosmetic differences
Notes and Comments:
- The golf ball like pattern gave for a very unique design, and was very comfortable on the Vapor IX
- The Vapor IX was known for their colorways darkening from the front to back, it gave a bit of a Vapor III vibe to it, but slightly different
