The Upper:
- The upper uses a full flyknit upper along with a VaporPosite material that added a layer of ventilation making the upper super breathable and flexible
- The upper uses a chevron like texture with a series of hundreds of grooves to provide a more natural feel on the ball
- A Flyknit DF sock collar was used for maximum support and to provide a locked in fit
The Sole Plate:
- The Superfly 9 famously used the Air Zoom technology, providing an enhanced sole plate
- A one piece, incredibly lightweight sole plate was used with the Air Zoom tech throughout the sole plate providing a responsive and explosive sole plate
Notes and Comments:
- The Superfly 9 was one of the most popular Mercurials in recent years, reintroducing the Air Zoom tecnhology in the sole plate
- As good as the sole plate was, the upper was also quite nice, extremely soft and flexible, providing a nice textured feel while remaining very lightweight
